The Murray Parish Trust announced as our chosen charity
We are delighted to announce that we’ve selected The Murray Parish Trust as our chosen charity because of its fantastic work fundraising for paediatric emergency medicine at Southampton General Hospital.
Chapman IP Founder and director Helga Chapman said: “Many of the team here at Chapman IP are parents, and we have all been moved to learn about the amazing work that the charity does. We have around 25 staff based in Southampton, Cardiff and Munich, and we are committed to raising money for the Murray Parish Trust in a variety of ways, not least through the efforts of our staff who take part in sponsored sporting events and challenges throughout the year. We also plan to get involved with many of the charity’s excellent corporates events, involving staff and clients in these activities to help raise money and spread the word about its inspirational work.”
Sarah Parish said: “We are so thrilled that Chapman IP have chosen to support The Murray Parish Trust and are touched by how personal a decision this was by all the staff. We can’t thank you enough.”
Jim Murray added: “It’s great to see such a forward-thinking company truly understand the benefit of supporting a charity. Not only does it help the charity but, by engaging their staff and clients, Chapman IP also enhance their position within the local and the business community. We can’t wait to see where this partnership will take us!”
Head of Operations Sam Robson said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Chapman IP on board as a corporate partner. We were blown away by their enthusiasm and support of The Murray Parish Trust. They’ve got off to a brilliant start with an initial donation of £500 which was raised through the sale of furniture at its previous office to staff, and then match funded by the firm in recognition of the efforts by a team of six staff who took part in the ABP Southampton 10 km road race in April.”

The Murray Parish Trust was founded by Sarah Parish and James Murray who lost their first daughter Ella-Jayne to a congenital heart defect back in 2009. Ella-Jayne spent almost half of her life in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit in Southampton General Hospital, so the charity now raises funds for paediatric facilities in Southampton and across the south. Its current aim is to raise £4million for a brand new Paediatric Emergency & Trauma Department to be based in Southampton.
