Chapman IP moves to new larger premises

Chapman IP has signed a lease for space in 22 Kings Park Road in Southampton. This relocation to larger premises is part of the firm’s high growth strategy in response to client demand for its expert intellectual property services.

The brand new premises are well served with road, rail and air links, providing easy access to the M27 and M3 as well as being a short walk from Southampton Railway Station, and a short drive from Southampton Airport.

The move has brought the firm into the heart of Southampton’s vibrant business scene, popular with professional services, innovators, entrepreneurs, and designers.

Helga Chapman, director and UK and European Patent Attorney, said: “We’re all really thrilled to be on the move; this is great news for the firm. We had outgrown our Winchester offices and they no longer suited our needs, being on three floors, so we were delighted to find these fabulous premises. We have now moved to a modern office building which will provide an exhilarating working environment for our staff, and somewhere our clients and associates will enjoy visiting.”

Over the last six months, the office space has undergone a complete internal refurbishment and fit out, carried out by Vibe Business Interiors, which includes a spacious board room and meeting rooms, break out areas for collaborative working, and a café. The end result is a modern, welcoming environment for visitors and staff alike, and excellent facilities for clients.

The firm was advised on property law matters by Paris Smith LLP, and by Hughes Ellard, real estate advisers and chartered surveyors.

Chapman IP also has offices in Munich and Cardiff, and satellite representation in London and Swansea.
