Chapman & Co has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Dr Catherine Bonner as a Director. The move supports the needs of a growing and active client base in traditional sectors as well as in emerging technologies.
Catherine is a UK and European patent attorney, and has been part of the team in Winchester for over seven years. She entered the profession in 1999 and trained in a London patent attorney practice before qualifying in 2004. Following qualification, she moved to the in-house IP department of a world renowned manufacturer of domestic products for three years, providing Catherine with valuable insight into the commercial realities and value of Intellectual Property rights within a business.
Her expertise in physics, engineering, electronics and software, with a specialisation in optics, photonics, telecommunications, alongside medical devices is utilised by a diverse portfolio of global clients. Her ‘real world’ view and commercially astute advice is often called on by clients who appreciate the breadth of experience that Catherine and the team at chapman+co bring.
